I am a life-long fireworks enthusiast who, like many others in this forum most likely, was spurred to action by an encounter with the fire marshal during an Independence Day display. The whole thing was cordial. We lost a few fireworks to confiscation and had an abrupt end to the display, but at that moment I decided to do whatever it took to go legal.
