Safety Question Regarding 6" Consumer Firework Canisters

Rate this Entry
Good morning everyone,

Is it safe to launch 6" consumer firework canisters from a 12" (length) mortar tube? If not, what is your recommended length for launching such canisters?

Thank you.

    Yes.
However I would suggest 15 -18" for maxiumum. So your looking to shoot shells like Excalibur or Smokin Hot? Curious what are you canister shells? For your tubes HDPE is best. No PVC!!! Make sure it is plugged good or have a properly secured backplate.

Thank you for the response. The only thing I purchase is HDPE. And yes, canisters such as Geisha, American Glory, and other canisters that are 6" in height. I can easily purchase 15" tubes but hard to find 18" tubes.
