i was poking around on a couple fireworks sites, and i saw a topic on here something about the excaliber getting recalled and revamped, and i saw the pic, so i know it was done. but it says 4/24 now. http://starspangledwholesalefireworks.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=270

and the one from american wholesale sites 6/24 has the old st the stock photo and packing. https://americanwholesalefireworks.com/excalibur/

is there just misprint or more confusing situating

I had seen that too but was out of my budget for what I use cans for.

Maybe give them a call tomorrow and just ask. Everyone over there is super helpful

tHEY HAVE BOTH 6/24 AND 4/24 FOR YEARS - JUST THE 6/24 WEIGHS IN ABOUT 90# GIVE OR TAKE

They did have a sort of recall about 4 or 5 yrs ago - the green visco was too short for the tube. So took them all apart and cut off some of the tube length. then put them back together - problem solved.

Joyce I always wondered how they solved that issue with the fuse being too short at the mortar top when they had that recall. I suspected that occurred when they added that cap on top of the shell to hold the fuse , that device shortened the fuse length because when they added it they probably didn’t lengthen the fuse in production. I am not 100% on this but this is what I suspected. I also wondered who figured all of this out and reported it. I told that John Rodgers of AFSL for years prior to the implementation of that shell cap that users were mixing up top and bottom on those shells however it fell on deaf ears. I proposed to make the fuse visible for the entire length and not go under the paper wrapping. This way inexperienced users can see it where it lights the bottom and does not appear to light the top of the shell. Which some users were thinking was the bottom of the shell. Curious if adding that cap reduced the incidence of upside down loading

I would like to think the big-ass letters spelling 'TOP' would have been sufficient enough, lol!

Ignorance is a solvable problem. However, you can't fix stupid.

And here I spent the better part of two evenings removing those plastic caps off the tops of a few hundred shells, so they wouldn't end up scattered all over the shoot site. At least the cardboard and clay that's left is biodegradable if there's any that I miss during cleanup. Especially since I'm shooting on someone else's property this year, I don't want to leave all that plastic spread far and wide

Of course, I've never confused which end went up when loading my shells.
