ive seen colored hdpe tubes in yellow and orange instead of just black...on the site i would buy them they only have the orange in stock. i am wondering if there is any difference in strength between the colored and black. anything will help! thanks!

From what I am seeing... there is no difference. Just the color..

Pyrodirect has them in Orange, Black, Red, White, Blue, and Yellow. The full stock of them will be in by end of this month they said

I have some of the orange ones from last year as well. Good tubes, no difference except you are less likely to trip over them in the dark! LOL!!!

having the orange in 1.3 or 1.4 is a good idea. i'm with ya on this one joe easy to see in the dark and less likely to trip over them. we all at one point have trip over something in dark at are shoots.

The main reason I ordered the orange tubes from pyrodirect was because they were about 10 cents cheaper per tube and I was buying bulk. I agree that they are easier to see in the dark though. I also have a couple red, white, blue ones and they are completely identical as well.

BTW, the colors can be used as a good distinction between mortar size.....say all black are 1.75, all Orange 2", yellow 3" and so forth.....great for preventing mix up of shell sizes

Lol hey Sodajerk!

Yeah the color classification is a great idea. Since all my tubes are 1.91" I don't mind which colors I have. If and when I move into 1.3g fireworks, I would defiantly set up a color system to easily distinguish the sizes.
