1929: First State To Ban Public Use Of Fireworks

Did You Know, Michigan was the First state to ban public use of fireworks on March 29, 1929. Legislature made it a criminal misdemeanor to light fireworks without a permit.

If I remember correctly the State of Iowa had an interesting history of their ban on their historic ban on fireworks. I believe there was large accident at a factory or storage area.
