The flash from the blast looks white..............does natural gas do that?

Looks like a gas explosion. This happened to a house about a half mile from me and the blast was powerful enough to knock pictures off my walls. House was reduced to nothing but splinters. Amazingly, the two occupants survived with minor injuries. They said one minute they were inside and then the house just instantaneously disappeared around them. No perception of sound, fire or anything, just gone. Very scary to think about.

I also notice that this seems to be a very efficient explosion - no red smoke (AN/ANFO), no black smoke (Military-type explosives and combustion) and no sparkly stuff (Fireworks). This does look like gas.

To rephrase: What color is the flash of a natural gas explosion?
