In 1996 I was at weekend music festival at Plattsburgh Airforce base in upstate NY. During one particular song from the band there was a bi plane flying around doing aerobatics at night and it had what looked like large sparklers on the wingtips. It was a pretty cool effect. But I've never seen a plane doing what is in this video. Very interesting effect.

I tried to add the time mark so it starts where I want you guys to see but it appears to be starting from the beginning. But the section I'm talking about is at the 1:22 mark. I only watched the video up to the airplane part so I don't know how much of this is fake, like that dragon image that shows as the thumbnail for the video.

Flying is difficult enough without having to deal with pyro on your wings. I don't recommend it.

Do you fly? I'm going for my introductory flight in a few weeks but I may hold of getting licensed. I'll see what the economy does because if another spending bill gets passed, I'll need that money for the license in gold.
