I saw Dominator had a post, that said because of the snowstorm they are still loading containers but the 4th will be impacted. Anyone else have any more news, it seems like a lot of fireworks factories got hammered and damaged by the storm.

It will have an impact because now factories are having to do repairs instead of manufacturing. There is product lost because of the buildings collapsing. Liuyang never gets 8-10" of heavy wet snow. It rarely gets below freezing there, so it is a big deal. It's not every factory that had issues, but it is widespread. So some factories are OK and continuing on, but there are others who will have delays.

Time is running out to get more production done and ship in time for July 4th. It takes on average about 80 days from loading the container in Liuyang until arriving at the importer's warehouse. Lots of vessels recently have had their original booking dates get pushed back. If you load on April 1st, it might not arrive until middle of June. Some containers get lucky and can arrive in 60 days, but you can't plan for that to happen all the time.

Thanks for the update Matt. I only caught part of the story and then was in a place with little to no internet.
