I was wondering did anyone else had duds, I had 4-5 cakes that stopped at 4 shots and a couple of cakes that didn?t go off at all even after I hand light them. I never had any problems like that before I?m thinking China rushed and made crap products this year.

No duds for me, just several big cakes blew apart and more cakes than normal caught fire this year even with a lot of moisture in the air. I think China has a quality problem right now though.

I had 7 cakes not fire [ 6 of them due to internal fusing] out of 200. That doesn't sound too bad, but I usually only have 1 or 2.

I only had 1 cake out of 132 not fire this year. That's a record for me.

no duds. had a cake catch fire early and toast the fuse of a neighboring cake so it only partially fired.

We have only put up one show so far this year, but we did have a failure. Two of the same cake, failed after the first shot. These were molded 200 gram, 16 shot cakes, that we have used in the past with no issues. I got into the carcasses the following morning to find that when the cakes were molded, the passfire fusing was not put in between any of the shots...

I had one 200g cake stop half way through, but otherwise all cakes worked. Attached some green visco for Sunday night to shoot the leftovers.

I didn't have any duds but I did have two salutes go off on the ground because I forgot to load them into the tubes. It was a learning experience for me, always triple-check everything before proceeding with the show. Or at least have a checklist.

Showed the store owner the fail in the show vid. Store credit x2, and although not his fault, a sincere apology. Things like that are why we go out of our way to do business with him.
