I just learned that GARY HANSON passed away from a battle with Covid 19.
He was a cornerstone in the pyro community.

I remember watching a video of a machine he built years ago to string Italian style cylinder shells.
You will be greatly missed, Gary.
Prayers for peace and comfort for your family members in this sad time.

I didn't know him but he sounds like quite an accomplished man and patriot.

My deepest sympathies to his friends and family.

I have had the pleasure to talk to Gary many times over the years at both PGI and the NFA conferences. He was defintely a GIANT in the industry. He wrote a few books also - i have 1 of them. You will be missed Gary!
BTW - Gary was 1 or the 2 members of the fireworks industry fighting for our rights with the NFPA Codes. I hope they find someone who is as passionate to join that fight as he was.
