1 1/2" Triangle paper wrapped around a tiny firecracker. It's like the Consumer (M-80 style) crackers. I've seen this done the same with a plastic Football/Soccer ball. It's the only way to bring the look of a foreign firecracker to the US market without the heavier load of a real Triangle cracker.
The real Euro triangle of the same size has 150 mgs. The fake Triangle has about 50 mg or less.

Reminds me of the newest version of wiseguy crackers. 50 mg red cracker disguised within a larger tube of red paper. Doesn?t even compare to a regular black cat.

PyroJirb, I have two bricks of "Wiseguy Crackers"(no brand) the color is a pale red color. It has both clay and plaster plugs with loose powder.

Finn, the plaster/clay plugged ones are definitely better. I just hate seeing them slowly watered down each year. Very disappointing. I must say that fake triangle is a new one. Never know what you’ll see next
Still have a few of these blister packs of King Bird triangles. Decent 50 mg report, but haven't taken one apart.http://www.pyrotalk.com/bulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=5285&stc=1

The "tell" on those triangle crackers is the fact that they are so loosely wrapped. If it was a "real" one all seams would be tight so it would not leak flash powder out. There are "real" ones out there both with almost no pop to them, and others that are very impressive.

Wow that's really disappointing Wiseguy went to those. Is there a way to distinguish the good ones from the newer junk?

I noticed these (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIfm0ymCPkw) on a a website and thought to myself there's no way these are real. A year later, a guy buys them and cuts one open. Turns out, they aren't. I'd saiy just about all the larger M-XXX crackers are the same too. Smoke and mirrors.

I think those triangles are junk! Just like the pic shows. The same goes for the m-100's you can buy anywhere. I like the good old fashioned Black Cats myself.
