We did a short pyromusical for my daughter's 4th birthday yesterday. Here's some of the setup and video. Definitely got a case of blue 62mm that were breaking super low in the end. http://www.pyrotalk.com/bulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=5200&stc=1http://www.pyrotalk.com/bulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=5201&stc=1http://www.pyrotalk.com/bulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=5202&stc=1http://www.pyrotalk.com/bulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=5203&stc=1http://www.pyrotalk.com/bulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=5204&stc=1

When I was 4, I probly got like a Candyland game and an orange.

You're setting the bar pretty high for subsequent birthdays here...

Well, let me add, that the nut will probably fall not far from the tree. it's down hill from now, lol. I'm in my 60's my son in his 30's and his daughter is 3 and she pushed the button on the Cobra to start the show this year, tell me where this is going to lead. lol

It is indeed a high bar. But we don't usually shoot on the 4th, so we just wait until her birthday.

I connect my old P1200 system up to some shells and salutes and let the kids push the buttons. They love it. My daughter woke up in the morning and asked me if we were bringing out the big guns today. I loved it. My nephew is about her age and he pretends by waking up, walking outside, and tells his mother that he has to get his speakers and generator out for the fireworks. It is fun to watch the kids get into it and sing along.

I was super happy with the show. I shot an 8'' peanut with too much stuff in the sky, so you couldn't see it all that well. The 10'' went at the very end and hit at the right time. Otherwise there were some minor issues but the timing came out well. We had one 4'' and one fountain not ignite.

Thank you! I was honestly shocked that it went as well for my first time with music. Major thanks to my helpers and people on this forum.

That entire case of blue peonies did that. I knew going in that they would because I shot some on the 4th. For this show, I fused them together in a rack with spacers, added an extra 50' of distance and figured "I'd let it go". Some would lift strong but burst quickly. Others seemed to come out of the tube softly and detonate on the ground, which I didn't expect. I wasn't going to use them for the show but my helpers told me to do it and get rid of them. The tubes were unharmed so they didn't blow in the tubes.

I'm probably going to shoot the rest in the daylight next time I go back to the farm to see what was happening.
