This is what I ordered instead and it worked fine https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/te-application-tooling/59803-1/A9982-ND/132430 It'll take MAYBE an extra 5 to 10 seconds to make the connection, but that's well worth the almost $300 difference between what they linked and this cheaper tool.

Save the quickplugs you use and cut wire about 1ft from the QP. Splice the old ones into the pigtails. I have about 200 QP pigtails that I need to go strip and cleanup so I can use up the older boxes.

Hey I won’t be at home for a couple of days but here’s a video from someone else just go right to the 20 second mark. It’s super simple.

If you do convert to quickplugs and you wire in series I highly recommend purchasing a few of these muuxBRD QuickSplit you can use the QuickSplit-12 to connect 2-12 quickplug ematches in series. just bought 10 of these https://muuxbrd.com/quicksplit/

I purchased and used 10 of those and they worked PERFECTLY. Quickplugs have been out for quite some time now, so Cobra is definitely missing out because I’ll definitely be buying more Quicksplits

Don’t convert and go all in on quick plugs, keep your options so you have the flexibility to use either standard or quick plug. I have both my custom quick plug slats and my standard rails for my fireTEK. You never know if you need to help someone out or in a jam and need the standard slats.
