The ohio house of reps has passed bill with overwhelming bipartisan support to legalize use of fireworks. It seems like house passes eveey year and senate just sits on it. Hopefully this will b different it does include a 4% tax. With the serious budget issues as a result of coronavirus policies im sure the state can use any $ they could get so fingers crossed id b willing to pay an extra 4% to avoid looking over my shoulder (even tho sheriff watched from road last year flashed sirens and stomped on gas, i took it as nice show). And if any of these ohio pyros neighborhood has sounded like mine for nearly the past month keeping them illegal has been a failure anyways.

House Bill 253 and Senate Bill 72, both pending in the Ohio Legislature, would lift the ban on consumers discharging such consumer fireworks. The bills would legalize “backyard” fireworks on private property year-round unless local governments pass restrictions.

At least your state is doing something! NY wont do anything. We only get safe and sane for 17 days a year or so.
