By 1886, there were more than 18 large fireworks factories in the northern states. Turning out millions worth of pyrotechnics annully. The chief seat for this class is East New York and Williamsburg.
One of the earliest fireworks companies in the U.S. was the Rochester Fireworks Company established in 1836.
