Wow...LOL!! I like this kind of pyro history - thanks for posting this. As for the Pest Control 2000s, farmers would typically buy a rope that's been nitrated, poke the fuses in a determined length of the rope as it burned so many minutes per inch. If they timed it right, the salutes would ignite at certain intervals to scare the crows or other animals off. Another name for these devices was Fuse Rope Salutes. This Bitcoin Jesus sounds like he was quite the dopey loudmouth. I dunno about anyone else, but if I was ever given a verbal warning and an avoidance of jail time for the first offence from the ATF, I'd consider it a gift, run with it and leave that activity behind. Common sense was lacking in that fellow.
