Independent contractor vs employee

Hello all. I am wanting to hear from professional shooters across the country and find out if they are paid as employees or independent contractors. Thanks in advance.

all the shows i have done have been paid employee all but 2 shows i was a independent contractor

It depends on what state the shoot is in. I would either be employee or independent contractor.
