We have had a ton of rain here over the last couple of months and it’s super humid. For those of you that live in a humid environment (Rick to name one), do you hold off fusing your racks until the day before or day of the show? Does it matter?

I waited for this exact reason as we had a couple super humid days before the 4th. I did it the day before and had no issues. Granted I was only fusing 2 racks and 43 shells. They both went off perfectly. Zip ties and duct tape as cross lighting protection is how I did it.

I shot 300 mortars this year. 100 of them were from last year that didn't light because I used a friggin talon.

They were all fused with that 1/4 second per foot paper fast-fuse a year ago, and they sat in my garage until this year. Every single one of them lit and went up just fine this year.

So clearly the high humidity down here in the swamp had no affect on the paper fuse.

That’s good information. Thanks Rick! I still have 100 fused up myself with quick fuse. I’ll just leave them be until I’m ready to do a full send.
