Not fireworks related--but it made this old Pyro very happy!!!

I got to meet SSgt Tim Chambers aka "The Saluting Marine" this past Friday night in Gettysburg PA before his appearance & salute at Rolling Thunder in Washington DC for Memorial Day 2019. What an Honor!!

For those of you not familiar with "Rolling Thunder" it is an event that has been held for the last 32 years on Memorial Day to bring attention to the POW's & MIA's from all the wars. It was estimated that there was around a million motorcycles there for the event. It takes about 4 hours for them all to pass thru the parade route & SSgt Chambers holds a salute for that entire time to honor both the missing and the riders honoring them.
I am very grateful to have been able to meet him and spend almost an hour talking with him and sharing some of my experiences in the service with him.

I've never been to the thunder nor never heard of this man but happened across a youtube video with him and what he does a week prior to your post. Needless to say, very emotional and patriotic. For those interested.... There are more, this is one my favorite

That man and what he does is amazing.. i cant keep one position for 5 minutes let alone 3 hours ..that is really cool that you got to meet and spend time with him.. i have never heard of him, and seen plenty of stickers on bikers but never knew exactly what rolling thunder was.. now going there is on my bucket list!!
