Pyromania 2019

I have never been to any large extravagant pyro event in my life before and this year I got tickets to Pyromania! It's only 3 hours from Kansas City where I'm from so I'm super glad there is a pyro event of such scale near me.

Have anyone here ever been to Pyromania before?

Super excited to go! I have seen my fair share of normal display firework shows that my city puts on during the July 4th holiday, but never any show that is carefully choreographed to music and completely over the top!

Having helped in setting up many 1.3 shoots including a few pyromusicals, I've never been to Pyromania but I understand it's quite the event. The club I joined last year is doing the closing show this year so I'm excited to be going too.

Some day I hope to Rick, last years would have been ideal but I didn't have the funds for it. By the same token, check out Pyromania sometime. It's gonna be a nice weekend event and only a little over 4 hr drive from my house so it only costs me a little for gas and 2-3 nights stay. If all goes well, I might compete in it next year.

EDIT =- read some more - i guess they were shut down last night only. should be a go for tonight.
We had same problem at NFA LAst week - went past 10 2 nights in a row - 10 plus cops cars there tuesday night - threatened jail for the coordinator!!!

The most intense salute finale I have ever seen. Found it on youtube a few years back and it is from the 2014 Pyromania closing show by Bill Collins. I would love to know the stats on this. I watch it every now and then when I find myself in those dark places of winter when the pyro itch is overwhelming. Be prepared to impressed but I must warn you there is a bit of adult language at the beginning.

I watched the video. Once again, proving that fireworks and music do not mix, even if perfectly timed. Which this wasn't, not even remotely close. Nice show, otherwise.

It was an Awesome group of shows lasting about 2.5 hours total, well worth my 5 hour drive.

That was a pretty intense show!! Lots of other effects that got absorbed into the salutes going off. Seemed like a waste of good pyro to me. Other than that, pretty intense show.

Sorry to revive an old thread and perhaps should start a new one called Pyromania 2020, but anybody heading to Pyromania this year? I was initially confused as saw "2" shows being put on - one by the original Missouri Pyrotech guys and believe another by a professional 3rd party - both are called Pyromania. Do I have this right?

Lots of drama... for details go to mopyro’s fb page where you see plenty of details. Cedar Lakes has basically stole the name and hosting an event called pyromania, this display will be done by a private display company. It will not feature individual creativity and talents, demos, competitions and multi large shows as the event was. The new event will be nearby Cedar Cellars and is named Sky Wars and be everything what pyromania was. Currently the pyromania naming rights are going the courts.
