It's one thing to get the cops called on a person by a stranger for illegal fireworks, but entirely different story when it's their own mom. Makes me sick to my stomach.

Those party poppers had clearly been in that womans house for some considerable amount of time. She knew what was in those boxes and in storage. My guess is that word got out about the fireworks, and she panicked and trying to appear all innocent, called the old bill and made out she only just spotted them. Mum dropping her 43(?!!!, what's he doing living wi' his mum!), year old kid right in it so she avoids doing porridge herself. I think there could be more to this story than is being made out. You don't drop your own kind in the proverbial without a good enough reason.

When I hear about these over the years it is usually the ex-wife that tells on you or even your own wife.. My favorite told to me by a fireworks expert that testified in court on behalf of the accused. His wife caught him looking at porn so she called the police on him making salutes for his rocket motors. The local law enforcement confiscated everything and charged him big time. In court the expert told the judge , the guys pyrotechnic work is so professional and precise I would have hired him back when I ran a fireworks company. The judge threw the case out. The local bomb squad got so pissed they storm out of the court room. I have so many stories like that people tell me because they know I'll never say who told me.
.
Back to this guy he was doing good until I see those big red firecrackers in the picture.

The ATF in that Long Island region is going to be all over this.

"The ATF in that Long Island region is going to be all over this." They and the local gendarmes will use a few for their annual videos of watermelon and chicken destruction, some may become "Exhibit A" at trial, a small amount will be sent to a range and detonated with added explosives for effect, but the bulk will "mysteriously disappear".

The guy they arrested had large quantities of fireworks. Some of the items he was selling included an 8-inch shell, home-made M-80/ Silver Salute style firecrackers and foreign market items.
He illegally sold fireworks on ebay. Sold them as "Labels" only.

He has got his comeuppance if that is right. We have the same problems over here with some people selling on FB and fleabay. Even a business in EU selling CAT4 to public online and sending pyro in plain boxes with posties handling explosives without them knowing. They need 50 years or a dose of ol' sparky on their ball bag.
