Was always a big fan of the brothers brand NOABs and brothers products in general but I?ve just seen some demos/breakdowns of a few of the cakes I usually have bought in the past, opened up to really. 1.75 ball shell re-wrapped in a 3? casing...wondering if this is a normal technique for these 2 and 3 inch shell cakes or is it a scam. I guess I?ve never really looked much into it when I have bought them in the past...I kno this is probly old news to seasoned pyros but mind you I am still a newbie/amateur but still don?t want to get ripped off either. Thanks guys

The largest shell in the consumer is 62mm or about 2 4in so the 3 4in noab and stuff thats out ther r just at beat a 2.4 ball shel in sides a bigger shell i love noabs but stick to the 2s there so much cheaper but dont buy any of the 3s unless thers an effect that i cant get in the smaller ying/yang mother of all bombs or something cool cuz id rather not pay for extra paper and cool looking tubes

Brothers Whacky Tobacky is a show stopper finale NOAB- big hitter.

I always have a case (2/1) in my shows.

I picked up a case of "Whacky Tobacky" couple of weeks ago but haven't set any off or seen one live, only online video. Looked good online.

Pretty much all noabs and single shots of the larger size are a shell in a shell scam. Seen one the other day that actually had 1.5" tubes inside the 3" tubes. .. Covered the tops with a nice 3" sticker though ... All about the marketing

So, I actually have a left over Whacy Tobacky cake, making 3 cakes total for the 4th.

Wondering if I were to shoot all 3 cakes at the same time in the finale if it might be too much for my backyard show??

Depends how big your backyard is.. hahaha.. but I would think most people here would agree.. to go ahead and do it!!! I do agree that they misrepresent the noabs as being bigger than they are... but I like them.. if you get them at wholesale pricing they are definitely worth it!!!

I’m pretty sure it’s not possible if you ask any members here.

Ok, I'll go big or go home and shoot the 3 NOAB's in my backyard finale. :)

You can't go home because you'll already BE at home in your own backyard. You'll have to settle for going big and staying home.

Here is the finale for my memorial day show. I used 5 noabs at the end. One was whacky tobacky and another was mammoth brocade, which I think is somewhat similar. My neighbor recorded it for me and it's a little unfocused. I appreciate her tho.

I would definitely use all three.

...don't mind the shell that casually rolls across the ground before exploding

I know, mammoth brocade is not technically a naob. It's near the same range of performance tho.

To much for a backyard show..... I feel like thats Rule #3 its never to much unless its a limited clearence issue lol I use my racks for finales but we are doing a fake finale this year with 12 Noabs plus some other cakes thrown in Id agree 100% that most of them are way smaller shells then they claim but at wholesale prices most Noabs are worth it in my opinion

I will not break Rule # 3 then!

My little e- fired backyard show finale this year with the 3 NOAB''s and 60 g shells should be my best ever!

Going big (well, for me at least).

Nothing wrong with that lol I think backwards when I plan my show so the Finale is the first thing I plan out... then I move on to the start lol just my opinion the finale is what everyone remembers.. Noabs use to be all I used until I got into building racks

I plan my Finale 1st also. I tend to buy what I like and than plan a show with it. Here is a general order how I plan my show once I get all my stash. 1. Finale 2. Opening 3. Fake Finale 4. Everything else

My buddy uses 2 pontoon boats as barges and floats them out on the lake next to his house. He's shooting 90 cases this year that includes 1000 mortars for the finale.

So far the cops haven't locked him up. So I think I have a little wiggle room left to expand.
