Type 54 question will it be worth my time

Quick background. I?ve been approved by atf in the past to use transport 1.3 under a licensed 54 holder because I was a helper for 3 years. In that span I shot at least 20 pro shows.
Now here is my concern. 2012 I was going through tough times in life, nasty divorce, and got convicted of a DUI ( stopped at a checkpoint). That?s the only thing on my record.
Would it be a waste of time for me to try and get my type 54? Would they disapprove me due to conviction?

Im no expert on this.. but i dont think a single dui in the last 10 years is going to prohibit you from getting it.. a convicted felon from armed robbery is a different story.. honestly there only one true way to find out.. and even if they say no, its not a waste of time.. because now youll have your answer.. lol

You might want to check the law in your state, but in Florida a DUI is a misdemeanor. So assuming it's the same up there, I don't see why that would be a reason to deny your application.
