Interview went great. Took 2.5 hours cause it’s all done by the computer now and she had to log in a bunch of info and the computer was not fast. She only took about 5 min to approve my indoor magazine. It’s all a go and in about 4 weeks I should have my license. When it comes in I’ll keep you posted. Thank you Dave soooo much!!!!

Congrats! Now you can get ready to fill that mag up. Then-----you will be saying "I need a 20 foot Conex container--this mag is too small". Haha. It never ends!

Pyrojoe,, I’m already looking into small 10x10 steel buildings or building my own. Shipping containers are just to big and expensive for my taste. I will be getting something though..

I'm starting to see more newly licensed ATF enthusiast show up on the forums. That is great. I'm curious did the ATF place a identification sticker on your magazine during the initial visit or will they return to do it? You live in a great location surround by at least 2 or more 1.3 distributors.

Dave she did put 2 stickers on my magazine. One on the inside hood and one on The inside bottom area. It was a very easy interview and now I’m just waiting on my license. I do live in a great area or Casabelle is, Lynch imports, night lights, and even Wayne’s world, are all within 2 1/2 hour one last time

Here?s the sticker

You’re gonna have to spill the details on your mesh document holder. Is that an accessory for the job box?

Is that magazine bolted to the floor or wall at all. I get occasional reports the ATF is making people bolt these thing down, and other people tell me they are not. Then still other inspectors are stating they want it on this or that side of the building because of its relationship to the adjacent surrounding buildings. There are many inconsistencies throughout the country. This is why I tell people to always push forward and not withdraw the application. Many times when they tell you something and you make them double check with the higher ups they come back and no longer purse what they initially told you to do.

Dave I was shocked she only looked at my magazine for about 10 seconds. She said “oh it’s a ridged jobsite box, I have all the info on those from other people. She didn’t even look at the non skid paint I used or the boxes the locks came in to see if they were 5 tumbler and 3/8 in size. She just took my word on it when I told her what it was. She also did not ask if it was bolted down. I didn’t bold it down and was only going to if she asked for it. Only thing she told me to do was to notify my local fire department so they know. I have called and emailed 3 different people at the fire station and my state fire Marshall. Not one person has responded. Out of everything that is the ONLY issue I have been having.

Memorialize the dates and times you attempted to call all of those agencies by writing it on a piece of paper and placing it in your ATF file. If they never call you pack then you at least have record of your multiple attempts to notify them. Don't assume the inspector that came to visit knows all of the regulations. Besides you have it all covered anyway. Curious if she ask to look at the key to the lock? I was told you can count the peaks on the key and know the tumbler count of the lock. If it was me I would stop calling the fire department and when you receive your ATF license, copy it and mail it to them And write in here the ATF told me to tell I have this license. Then of course document you sent and add that into your records.

Thank you so much for the advice. I will do that. She didn’t look at the keys. She did tell me when they come out for my 3 year Inspection they will want a letter from the Fire department stating that they are aware of my indoor magazine. She told me to get proof and put it in my records

They want a letter 3 years after they approve your magazine. Now that's funny. Be sure to save that note where you contacted them and they never answered.
