Supernovas, Kingslayers, All up W/graceful mine, and Dragon’s so far. Still have a few holes to fill, so will either do some more ball shells or some Black cat Diablo’s.

I have some hellcat cans from 76, excals by world class, demon shells by Pyro Demon, jawbreakers by Pyro Nation, salute to the flag by Pyro Demon, and one more I can’t name. I’m using shells as filler this year, like when a red, white, blue cake is going off I will throw random RWB shells up. That’s the plan anyways.

Most likely a mix of Max'd Out and Excal shells.

For what it’s worth, Max’d Out and Excals are the same shell from the same manufacturer, so if those are your favorites, go with whichever one you find cheaper.

At my tent, I’ll be carrying 14 varieties of 60g shells, 9 varieties of ball shells, and 5 varieties of big artillery assortments :)

I saw some Black Cat Diablos where I shop and my guy had them priced at like $80 for a box of 24. I passed. Way to expensive.

I get them retail at a local fireworks stand for $60 per 24. When I make my annual trip to Joplin, and around to the other places I see them all the way up to $84. I pass on those too.

I have shot the Diablos for the last 4 or 5 years and I do really like them. Big Bang out of the tube complimented by big loud breaks. No way they are worth $80 for 24 though.

Yeah, I paid $55 per box for the Excals, Quest and Pyrojunkie shells. I would have gone $60 for the Black Cats but no more than that. I'm going back to buy some more cakes this weekend, I will barter with him and offer $60, see what he says.

I used some Pyrojunkie cakes last year on my guys recommendation, and they were really good. So when I went to get some stuff a few weeks ago, I grabbed 2 boxes of there 60 gram Canisters.

Some of you guys that are shooting numerous different varieties of shells, do you guys really notice that much of a difference? Or do you guys like to shoot a bunch of different brands? I normally just go after what I find the cheapest and those are the shells I shoot that year...

I normally like to shoot supernova shells since you can get willows, crackle, and or glitter shells by the case. I normally don't showcase shells I puke them.

This year though I found the quest shells cheaper then excals. This is the first year I found something cheaper then excals, so I'm shooting quest shells this year.

I usually just get the cheapest as well iv shot bunches of the big brands n see very little difference certainly not enough to justify excal prices but I had a bigger budget this year so thought I'd get a few of the cheapper brands then just the cheapest

For the past decade I just went with Excaliburs, however my guy In West Virginia didn't have any in stock yet so I decided to give Brothers and Pyrojunkie a shot at the title. I know Brothers makes a decent product overall (Smoke and Mirrors comes to mind) and in my tests Pyrojunkie is also very good.

This guy shoots 28 different cans. There's barely a difference in any of them, as far as I can tell.

I'm shooting Supernova and Smoke N Mirrors cans this year as my finale. Like some folks here, I don't shoot them for their individual effects. I shoot them as sky puke for the finale.

The Kong’s are new for 2018. I saw them at the demo, and they were very nice. Excellent punch/thump and effect size. Reminded me of the Zeus shell from the same distributor, which they are no longer making. I liked them well enough to carry the 12 pack in my tent this year.

Ill be shooting whatever 60 gram cans are the cheapest per shell wholesale. They're basically all the same...why spend more because of a different "brand" label?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgfvujpWe-o I try to do something similar each year. This year, we only shot 18 of our 40+ shells. What I have noticed after 4 years of doing this is that the difference between shells is more noticeable from a distance. We also use a decibel meter which ads the component of sound.

agree 100%... you have to get some distance for your comparison or it's is useless
