50,000 lbs of fireworks seized in California bust

It’s interesting how some states want to spend millions to crack down on fireworks that violate state laws (but not necessarily federal laws), and other states want to earn money through sales tax of those same items.

That being said, some of the items seized probably weren’t legal consumer fireworks in any state based on some of the names I saw on boxes in the video.

Also, for any grammar nerds out there, the first thing I noticed in the article is where it says “50,000 thousands...” Thats a huge number hahaha!

i imagine cali, nevada and arizona in particular have strict fireworks laws (if they allow them at all) just because of the fire risk. cali is always having wild fires, every year. and we all know if they'd let anyone light fireworks, someone would make it worse. there's always a few bad apples.

Anything that explodes and/or goes up in the air is illegal there. Some cities have even stricter rules that prohibit "Safe and sane" fireworks.
