You can probably get on the ATF website and request a packet for a FFL or C&R license. They come with paper fingerprint cards. At least they used to!

This brings up an interesting point , with nearly everything headed into the computer age , this ink card is becoming dated. I suspect but don't really know for sure , can a computerized fingerprint session print a hard copy? If so, can that hard copy be attached to the application? The people to ask would be the Matinburg West Virginia processing center. If I find time I may give them a call. Another possibility is to purchase your own fingerprint ink and bring it to them to use. I see they sell it on EBay

I went to see a Sherriff's deputy here at his office and he did it. True, everything seems to be electronic now. Even the ATF application can now be completed on-screen which is pretty slick.

Whomever is asking this fingerprint question. Please call the computerized location you are dealing with and ask them if they can print an official hard copy and sign it. In other words does the machine have a provision to also print the fingerprints on paper. I spoke with ATF about this and will try to update the post tonight when I have more time.

Thanks for the info. I had to do deep into Allegheny county to get it. If I saw this sooner I would test this method.
