I'm having a hard time finding locks that meet the criteria for the ATF. I have a small indoor magazine like the one in YouTube video. Anyone know where I can find a locks that meets this:

- 5 pin
- 2 1/4 max in width
- 1 3/16 or less shackle length closed
- 1 7/16 or more shackle length open
- 3/8 shackle
- 1/4 or more steel hood

Any help would be appreciated!!

The word I am getting is the ATF Inspector (don't say agent) will look at the key to determine if you have a 5 pin lock. Look at this illustration.

See how the valleys in the key reflect the pin count. They count these when you hand them the key. My guess is these can be picked up on Ebay, I expect someone to come along soon and post a link. Is your magazine able to accommodate any size lock? Are you able to post a close up picture of the area the lock needs to fit?

It won't let me post from my phone. As long as its no wider than 2 1/4 in. and no thicker than 1 1/8in. It's the exact same box as in the video....

The man in the video is member of the forums, I suspect he will find this thread and give you an idea where to purchase the type of locks he used. Although if I remember correctly his could have been a little longer or shorter I can't remember. LOL. Is this the type of box you have?

Ok yep Dave I found it, glad to help. Do I get a commission? LOL....The locks I got were from ebay. But google them. eBay item number: 282432646483 Master lock 17Ka (KA means Keyed alike) so 1 key for both locks. My locks are a bit bigger than the required, but bigger is always better. You just have to bend the enclosure a bit as you can see in the video to get them to lock tight..These are the master lock commercial series, And yes 5 pin, bit pricy but 1 time to get the job done. I have not found them at any stores, but you can get them online...
