Just got done with a 3 day setup and shoot for Cache Creek Casino in Northern Ca. -- a 22 minute pyro musical. Anyhow, I was dropping these shells and never came across them before. They have these crusty dingle berries on the top. Anyone ever seen these things before? New too me. http://www.pyrotalk.com/bulletin/attachment.php?attachmentid=2398&stc=1

Looks like an attempt at rising effects.

They are rising effects. The extra black powder slurry on the small shells will give the effect of a "tail" as the shell rises and the "flowers" bloom.

Those shells, out of Malaysia, are very expensive even for a large company. Not an "attempt" by any stretch.

Thank you for clarifying!
