Is anyone familiar with the exam and license requirement for the State Fire Marshall in Louisiana? Looking to sit for the state test shortly and curious to the details of the test and process.

That is the link to the LSFM and the key item on the app is you have to participated in five permitted La shows and get letters of participation signed off on by the operators of those shows.

You will have a written exam and a practical knowledge exam. I had mine 1998-2002 and it was actually through the state police at that time and I am in the process of trying to find out if they will let me use my permitted shows from back in the years I was shooting for my experience. Should they not let me use that I will have to find some LA shows to try and go assist in.

Just re-read your post, looks like you already know all of this, I am not familiar with the actual test yet, so no I have no idea what is on the test but I was told they relied on NFPA heavily for developing test questions.
