I know I know.... 2013 is a long way away, Im sure some already know , but it has been so long since PA has had it here... Will be in Butler county PA.....

Now that the current one is going on... I makes me think about one that will be coming eventually... I have never attended one so Im pretty excited to get to it when it comes here

I am excited about that too - never been to one myself as well.
In preparation for this, Hubby and I are already making plans to attend the 2012 PGI in LaPorte, In. Not too far - about a 10 hr drive from here - do-able.
Kneppy's are tentatively planning on being one of the 1.4g vendors in Butler.

Yes there is--that is sponsored by the Pa Pyro Artists Club. I believe Joyce Kneppy posted the info in another thread---Also, CrackerJacks have a big event scheduled in Sep in Virginia.

Politics, laws, and licensing largely prevent it. I've been told there aren't a lot of appropriate sites either.

I have never been to a PGI event. Do you have to be a member to go or buy items? If you buy items do you have to shoot them there? Are there class's you can take?

Yes you have to be a member to buy anything besides general admission tickets.

I don't know if you have to shoot them there, as long as it's class C. Class B would raise some issues if you plan to take them home. Yes, there are plenty of classes. You can get an idea of the classes offered here: http://pgi.org/convention/2011/seminars.aspx They change every year, but several of them are offered annually.

I know they normally have a shoot site to buy items there and shoot them off in a safe enviroment there... For class C and Class b items... Still need your ATF Type 54 for class B

Lots of vendors from my understanding... I really am siked to go to it... My wife refers to it as a outside mall designed just for me...lol

Membership for first yr is $100 with Bulletin. Which is nice with alot of info in the industry. You can get a yr membership for $45 without the bulletin.

Renewal every yr after that is $70 with bulletin and $45 still with out.... It is discounted if ya pay before March 1st of each yr.. They have a lifetime membership as well, but to rich for me..lol

I did not make it to the PGI convention this year. However, I will make it to the one in 2012 and of course; the one in 2013 will be right in my backyard. This video is from the Butler County area that will host the convention in 2013
