Cake duration times?

Is there a good place to get info on duration time of consumer 200g and 500g cakes?

Start by searching the vendor website for videos or itemized lists which, in some cases, have the product duration. If all else fails, YouTube and a stop watch. :)

I agree with that and I've seen some that actually have it, but I can see why they arent all labeled that way. First, the average consumer probably lights things one at a time and doesnt really care how long a cake lasts. Also, I'm sure there is a cost with having the extra labeling so rather than shave profits or raise prices, vendors can post a video of the cake and/or list the duration on their price sheets.

I'm with you though...it would be sweet.

Have you ever seen any of the video of fireworks "manufacturing" in china? No robots, automation, quality control--just a bunch of elderly Chinese women sitting on a dirt floor in a little open building surrounded by tubes & straw mats with black powder scooping the lift charge into the tubes by hand, dropping in the effect & popping in a cardboard disc. The larger "factories" have tables for them to sit at!!! So, it is really surprising that the cakes are within a second or two of each other. You Tube is the best place to get times. There are better clips on there than what some of the retail/wholesale stores post on their sites unfortunately.

Doing a $hitload of research lately I have found....some vendors put times up.....if not search youtube and time them. I have a stop watch next to my computer now. I am not new to pyro but with my new stepping it to the next level I have found doing extensive self research is great then asking for others opinions is very helpful.

I first started off with just placing the items and lighting them... Then moved to the checking out timing and trying that out... Then was Timing of cake and timing of fuse together... Now its Firing sytems and 1.3 mixed in...lol Evolution of the pyro is a fun thing to watch and be part of

Lol so true I am almost there i just gotta get to the mixing in the 1.3......someday......I gotta say I dont think I could shoot again without my firing system.....
