A little something different from my YouTube channel. This is video from Jan 1, 2017 Pittsburgh Pa. Every year the Polar Bear Club jumps into the river in Pittsburgh on New Years Day. This year I decided to check it out. Happy New Year to everyone. I think next year I will also make the jump into the river.

guy 4th from left in the last couple pics is the new Pittsburgh City Police Chief... interesting. Scott Schubert his name is . Just got promoted after the prior Chief resigned.

Maybe you mean the third guy over with the black shirt? That does look like a City of Pittsburgh yellow insignia on his shirt. My guess is all those guys are city police.

no i meant 4th from left ... and yeah, that's the new Chief ... the pic you posted and the guy in the picture in the water. well, he earned his tough guy badge with jumpin' in the river is all I know... and cops have a hard job and are supposed to stay objective about everything... not easy and yeah imagine that, a cop wearing a tie-dye t-shirt... :rolleyes:

No your other left. LOL Lets go with guy with the black shirt on. Either way I had no idea at the time of doing this video he was the new City Of Pittsburgh Police Chief. As far as I'm concerned seeing him in the water this day is good sign for me. I know the Pittsburgh Police recently took a Vote of Confidence I believe it is called, and the prior chief rated low. He came in as an outsider and I am not sure where he ended up once he left. We will see how this new chief does.

the prior Chief was making a lot of changes that they were getting pissed off about . he was trying to un-do a lot of the old-boy network stuff ... preferential treatment/shifts kind of stuff ... this new guy is an interim replacement, as I understand things but we'll see ... this new chief lives in my neighborhood . i see him sometimes. the prior chief moved back to Wisconsin where he's from as I heard...
