Fired off a few cakes from wfboom, phantom, Jakes and 50 commander in chief shells for a finale with 100g of flash powder at the end. You cant really hear the boom unless youre listening on large speakers. My teenager cousin was all over the place with damn phone so forgive the video quality..lol

Well that was bigger and nicer than my "leftovers show" Nice fireball at the beginning. Was that a cremora or a gas? What was up with the ground level breaks?

Fireballs were gas. One didnt lift all that well and had a good bit of fallout. The ground breaks were 2 cakes that tipped over! I was pissed. I had them on plywood and used some appoxy to hold them down. I guess i shouldve taped them as well. Kinda looked cool though..lol

Looks like you had good clearance on the tip over. What firing system did you use on this? I like how you did the fireballs, next time add a little flash boom to the fireball. The boom makes the flame a little more dramatic effect. Use a chop stick or something similar so the boom is above the ground next to the fireball mortar.

I used the cobra. I had 5 gas balls and timed them to go off 0.5 sec apart but i had them to close together so it looked like one big one. Next time i will run them horizontal So they can all be seen clearly. Or Maybe fire them all at once with a big salute next time.

Great job as always man!! I love the big fireball to open the show. I've got to get myself one of those!!

All I had was a leftover box of electric rain shells. So I sent those up at midnight.

Today I made my first cremora pots! A real low-rent affair, but they worked. I need to come up with a taller can with a smaller opening to get a better effect I think.

Cool rick!! Im glad you finally fired a cremora!! I think youre right about the gun length. It may give you a more "formed" effect. My small ones are 9" tall and and the 6" is 2.5 feet.

Lol... Yeah man, it's been a long time coming. Glad to finally lose my cremora cherry. It's didn't hurt at all either. The guy I'm talking to in the video (Ken) is my 81 year old neighbor. He's been bugging me for weeks now to do the cremora pot. He seemed more excited than I was to finally do it!

I do need to kick it up a notch though. A BIG notch to catch up to you! You really seem to have it down to a science. I'm most impressed!!

A little gasoline and methanol makes a nice one..lol

Lol... Yeah I see! Lol... I'm pretty sure I'll wait until I get something a little more stout than a green bean can before I start messing with gasoline and methanol and black powder.

Not to mention an increase in my life insurance.

I've been studying gas mines for a bit. I'd like to add them to a couple of shows where I have the space for them. Would you explain adding flash boom. I don't know what that is or does. Thanks

Adding the flash boom means to fire a salute simultaneously with the fireball. So you would rig up your gas fire ball and then use a ground salute a few yards away (wire it paralell or in series with your firing system so it goes off at the same time). Gas fireballs arent all that loud alone so adding a salute device will give a loud booming effect.

Didn't think about adding the boom to the gas mine but I can see how that would be very impressive. What is a "chop stick" though? Something to hold the salute off the ground a bit?

I think so. Im not sure on that one either. Ideally you want it at least 2 feet off the ground to prevent shrapnel

If you can find a chop stick that long use it. In the past I taped a few together. I have it in one of my Fireworks on the Farm videos somewhere.
