Interesting. There is a competition in Vancouver next month too. I am only a couple hours away from Vancouver and will be heading up. I have never been but it is called "celebration of light" # Weekends of works competition. Cool stuff. I am just spectating and not helping:)

Some of the best fireworks shows I have ever seen have been at the Canadian competitions. I was at the winning show a few years back in Ottawa in which Russia was the winner. It was absolutely amazing!

I also attended the Montreal competition a few years before that and that also was quite a spectacle. It's very common for 50,000+ people to attend the shows.
