These are my videos from visit to PyroMaster LLC Cincinnati Ohio. It was great because it was like a visit to Mr.Pyro workshop. The owner Jamie told me he is often consulted to create solutions for the larger fireworks display companies and amusement parks. He also tells me the variety of analog systems he sells continue to be popular with the larger display companies. His banner is on pyrotalk or you can visit his website with this link

i really like the Assurance pod. is there any internal framing to hold the mortars?

PyroMaster

Yes, there are welded steel rods to keep the mortars in place. Even if product explodes, they stay upright.

would be interested in a grp buy, but I can't drop more than a grand for maybe 10-12 racks for now. Not until after the holidays at least. But still if 100 members bought 5-10 racks each wonder what he could do on price then?

By the way Dave excellent videos on their products. You did much better than the website they have .

This was a camcorder I had close to that fast shot seen in the other video. I was experimenting to see what it would look like. The video is unlisted. I hate to waste it so I'll post on the forums.

Yeah we have to put them on pallets, so just a few racks still costs a lot to ship. But we just quoted UniversalPyro and shipping was under $17 a rack because of a greater quantity.

Sorry I misread the FedEx page, shipping for him was under $24 a rack. Still better than $60!

Hey PyroMaster, any chance of a modular version of these coming out? Would be awesome to be able to break them down for storage purposes by being able to detach the legs and bundling them as well as being able to stack the "boards". Something to consider.....maybe? :)

Thanks for the quote pyromaster, im looking over some different ideas, either to go with aluminum racks or there also is a company who makes them as pods, move them as a whole. both great designs.

I like the way you think, space is definitely valuable and storage can get tricky. The only thing is, we switched to the spot-welding technique for attaching the legs because we've found this to be the best for withstanding unwanted explosions (catos). Safety is really the driving force of the design, so currently no explosion is able to tip a mortar towards the crowd if they are mounted properly. The 32 spot-welds on each rack keep the legs securely attached. Having detachable legs would be nice but would most likely dramatically increase the chance of a leg falling off.

We have designed them so they stack nicely on each other, and even have optional wheels for transport and storage as Dave demonstrates here: https://youtu.be/EFNFs7o86qA?t=12m18s

How many would I have to get to have shipping around that price?

We're currently trying to get quotes from different freight carriers to find the best prices, but so far we have seen prices drop significantly if you get a full pallet (18 racks) and they drop significantly again if you get 2 full pallets (36 racks).

One way around this, if you are within driving distance of Cincinnati, is to rent a truck for a day and send someone down to get them, but I know that's not feasible for everyone.

Jamie & company are top notch.

I can vouch first hand that the equipment is tough and works very well. Pyromaster has been around the industry for a very long time, and it is obvious that there has been a lot of time and care put into the design and testing of all equipment.

Beyond the equipment being great, Jamie is a stand up guy and is a wealth of knowledge.
