If a few of you guys could take some time to watch this video and give me some ideas i would apprecitate it.
This is an "opening" to the show i want to put on for New Years. Its about 2 minutes but my girlfriend said its a long time to be looking at darkness. Its really dark but at 0:44 theres a flash of lightning in the distance.
It gave me an idea to maybe use some smoke and a couple of strobe lights at the shoot site.
Any ideas or some fireworks i can use during this countdown?? Fountains?? Candles maybe?? Nothing big or noisy because i dont want to take away from the "build up" before the 1 count (youll see what i mean in the video)
Just brainstorming guys
THE REST OF THE VIDEO IS ME GOOFING OFF WITH THE COBRA TO MY FAVORITE METALLICA SONG..lol..it was nothing spectacular

spinning wheels... gerbs/fountains... flickering strobes along a line in front ... laser beams are cool if you have the gear...

You could use rgb's with dmx or lightorama with christmas light strings to do the countdown... Set them up for Christmas lights and repurpose them for your countdown for new years... check out the countdown at 1:02 for the countdown effect with dmx https://youtu.be/S2fVRedQVR0

I'm with PGH Pyro... My first thought was using strobes that ran in a line. I would work them from outside to inside starting on either end. Work them into the countdown so as you count down they converge on the center where you would shoot some kind of big fan effect at "0" of the countdown. Or maybe even a cremora pot. That would be soooo Metallica!

you can orient gerbs/fountains & strobes however t.f. you want . on poles or scaffolding or whatever. think outside the box. spinning on metal cables...whichever whatever wherever however.
this is where the artistic creativity comes into play with fireworks. who cares what someone else does ... make up your own strategy / pyro designs.
