I am in the final stages of securing the fireworks permit for the Collier Sportsman Club shoot August 27, 2016. I could use some free help. I am not going to be able to allow people to bring fireworks other than product from XFX Pyro. As it stand now we are doing a close proximity display using the FireTEK system. I have the fireworks purchased.
.
August 27 more detail to come.

Just for my own knowledge and education, why can't contributors bring pyro to donate & fire? Is it an insurance covenant or is it a statutory thing with the permit? I can't help this year but attending one of your sportsman club shoots is on my bucket list.

Over the years I would receive a fireworks permit for this Sportsman Club display and it would just say "Fireworks Permit". I could do whatever I wanted. The township now has a new zoning officer. He wants multiple details and requirements. XFX Pyro will provide that information. Of course we waited until the last minute to obtain the permit again this year. LOL All this started because people in the township were getting permits and apparently did something they should not have been doing , so now everyone has new restrictions.
The plan as it stands is to shoot a close proximity display, it will be electronically fired using the FireTEK. The clearance is tight . The club wants some boom in it. They want me to shoot the gasoline fire mines again. I can not. XFX may be able to supply me some commercially made flame effects. Right now I do not have a permit. I do however anticipate having it by the end of this week. When I am 100% with the permit I will announce it.
Starting new year I moving to another Sportsman Club that can accommodate our fireworks needs. I want to able to accommodate multiple displays and people bringing fireworks back like we did over the years at Collier. Of course I will still keep Collier on the schedule. If I can pull this off, I will have video of the FireTEK professional model and XFX Close Proximity product. Right now all I need is the permit.

When you announce the new venue be sure to leave as much scheduling/planning time as possible for shooters to make the trip! Sounds like a terrific plan! FYI I just received your Collier DVD from last year, can't wait to watch it.

I still do not have the fireworks permit for the Collier Sportsman display Aug 27. . All of the required documents are in the hands of the Zoning Officer. I expect an answer soon. I anticipate an approval at this point. I also take responsibility for waiting until the last minute to obtain the permit. The plan is still the same to shoot a multi-position close proximity display using XFX Pyro product and the FireTEK System. The very minute I hear the fireworks permit is approved I will announce it here. I will also have full video coverage of this display for everyone to enjoy. It should be interesting because we are structuring the display different than in prior years.

It looks like we are all go for Saturday Aug 27 Collier Sportsman annual picnic and fireworks. Be there at 12 Noon. Please bring you usual pyro tools , scissors, gloves , eye , and ear protection, flashlight and whatever else you think to bring. The club will provide all the food and drink. This display will be different then in prior years. we are shooting at the end of the grass line near the hill. Shells up to three inches in addition to cake and one shots. At least 9 positions covering a large section of that area. The plan is to sync the FireTEK to the DJ music equipment.
The Fire Department will be there, I will be setting up my LED generator lighting setup to light the place up for easier clean up. The weather report in the Pittsburgh area is looking good for Saturday at 91 degrees mostly sunny. I am pleased to have the expertise of XFX Pyro on this display.

The show went very well tonight. Over 700 plus cues. I believe there were 17 FireTEK modules. Special thanks to everyone that came out to help. I have time for a one minute unlisted video before bed.

Guess which Gerb had a bad e-match. These come supplied with electric match pre-installed. we picked up it was bad during testing, but could do nothing about it. Even the crew said it went anyway, but it looks like it did not go.
