For those of you that break consumer cakes apart to acquire a desired effect, what do you use to secure such tubes?
I am wanting to break a couple 200 and 500 gram cakes apart and angle the tubes in this fashion \ / but don't want to have to build a "special rack" for these. I will If I have to but prefer not to. :p
I am looking to use 3-4 tubes angled and spread out over 3 stations.
200 grams will be comets and 500 grams will regular 1.5" tubes.

Anyone have any suggestions on something easy and safe I could use?

1"x 2" pine stake with zip ties for each "shot" is the easiest--assuming you are going to be setup on dirt.
Also, very easy to mount a piece of 1" x 6" with holes for zip ties & the desired angles to piece of 2" x 4" base.

Hot glue and cardboard, just use the heavier gage cardboard so its better secured .

For comets and smaller tubes make a slate rack using peg board. Zip ties to hold tubes in place.
