Hello all,

I am in Washington state and some what new to the fireworks we all love. I grew up in California, a safe and sane state, and don't know the legality of fusing cakes and canisters together. I am several years in and cant get enough. i currently bought tubes and built three 40 shot racks. My plan is to fuse all cakes and canisters together. Is fusing them together legal in Washington state? I would think so since I had all consumer fuse shipped to my house but want to confirm. I will be attempting to get my type 54 license and don't want a charge like that on my record. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

If 1.4g is legal to buy and shoot in your state you should have no issue with fusing as long as you avoid any fuse that is classed 1.3g

Like djsmurf said, If purchasing and shooting 1.4 cakes and shells is legal in your state, then there is no issues fusing them together.
Now if such items are not legal in your state, It doesn't really matter if they are fused together or not, all the authorities see is Illegal fireworks.

So I did a quick google search and according to this, looks like only firecrackers, missiles/rockets and chasers are Illegal in Washington state:

I found this as well, seems a little more detailed:
https://www.usfireworks.biz/legal/wa.htm

But its always best to check with your local authorities just to make sure.

I hope this helps
