I'm working on a cake board + 20-shot mortar rack for a wedding reception in October.

I am having a hard time figuring which size HDPE tubing I need to properly use the Excalibur style shells.

From what I can tell, DR11 is the most common size but I want to make sure before I spend the money on a $75 rack that I am buying the correct thing.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Yes, DR11 is what you want. That is the size almost all consumer shells/canisters use.

As ilovecrackle said DR11 is what you want for canister type shells. DR11 tubes have an ID of 1.91" you will also see DR9 tubes they have an ID of 1.81" and work better for some consumer ball shells.
