View Full Version : 2015 Fire Art LLC Fall OPEN SHOOT! 10-10-2015

Fire Art
09-04-2015, 01:32 PM
Mark your calendars fellow pyros! It is that time of the year and I am pleased to announce that Fire Art will host a Fall Open Shoot on Saturday, October 10, 2015 on our property in beautiful Clearfield PA. Shoot times will be from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.

Food will be served and the office will be open from at least noon til the last person leaves. Get rid of that pyro itch! Come and hang out with some fellow pyros, eat some good food and shoot some fireworks.

A good time will be had by all...shells up to 10" can be fired, racks are provided, there will be people setting up mini shows, we will be having a 1.4g 200 gram and 500 gram raffle, also working on a special training course (more info to follow). We are stocking up on wood now for the two campfires. Sharon is hard at work sending out flyers and planning the menu. There may be some pumpkins to dispose of, I am sure we can come up with creative ways of doing that.

Product will be available for purchase and there may be some in house specials just for the night.

We will see if we can get our usually deal with the local Super 8 for any overnight guests.

A few rules apply:

- Safety Equipment is a must! Bring it and wear it! Probably a good idea to bring a chair too.
- All vehicles need to be off the shoot site prior to 6pm. They shouldn't be in the field anyway since there are so many sharp rocks and occasional nails from prior shows. We have helpers on site to get whatever you need out into the field.
- You may bring your own fireworks to shoot but it is strongly encouraged to patronize your host, at least a little bit. :D
- Home made items are prohibited.
- Everyone is expected to sign a waiver, and conduct themselves in a safe and professional manner. Hey, if I gotta do it then so do you!
- Everyone is expected to have fun, if you don't then its most likely your own fault.

Raffles:

There are two raffle categories: 200 gram and 500 gram

For every 200g cake you donate to the raffle you get a ticket for a chance at the 200 gram raffle(for example 2 cakes = 2 tickets)
once a pile of cakes reaches 50 cakes we will start another pile.

For every 500g cake you donate to the raffle you get a ticket for a chance at the 500 gram raffle(for example 2 cakes = 2 tickets)
once a pile of cakes reaches 50 cakes we will start another pile.

Cakes will be available for purchase if needed.

Raffle will take place around 7:00 pm

Winners must be able to legally possess the items they win or shoot them off on site.

Any other questions or to RSVP let me know or visit www.fireartcorp.com

Hope to see you there!

-Al

Wooooo Hoooooo! For those interested, Al puts on one heck of an "Open shoot"! Good food, great people and some of the best Pyro you guys can get your hands on! Seriously tho, you all don't want to miss this one. Oh, and its not every day that you can possibly see a 10" shell or two, right? ;)

FYI, my buddy and I were considering doing a little Liquid Fuel Mine seminar. Anyone interested?

if i can make it it up, ill find out some time today if i can or not. would any one like to split a case of 1.75 inch salutes? we would each get 72 since there is 144 in a case. so if anyone else wants to do that let me know and ill post later on if i can make it or not. i would like to meet some of you but its a 4.5 hr drive for me.

Should we pre-order is it an advantage? I'd definelty like to shoot some 8's would pay for even bigger. I'm just curiouse if I need to pre order or if it's just as easy to take cash and do it there. Got to shoot alot of 6''s so I'm hungry to climb the ladder.

Since your out that far in PA.. I'm unsure how far Lynch Imports is from you but they carry a zipper cake that is all salutes w RWB tails. I shoot for Pyro Engineering and we have one called 200's American Thunder... it's pretty sick

Celebration on is closer than lynch, lynch is prob 30 mins further. There's also a place in NE PA above celebration that sells them but once again it's kind of hard to get to in under 10+ hours round trip. Can't believe between those two spots there's no one that carries them, may be a good thing to start carrying AL, lol. I like the way the sound and perform there's nothing like them. The 15 shot is phenomenal.

do you have a video of an "American thunder" ? To me there's nothing like noise, colors just fill! Lol

Thanks for coming out and so glad you and Henry had a good time! I think everyone brought home a little glitter from the pumpkin table! Little Dante (mini me) had a great time too. Didn't flinch at a single bang, and I heard him in someone's video saying "OOOO Pretty" and "BOOM". LOL

It's interesting to see people use the hitch method when loading shells for e-firing.... I think I like it better then using the hole at the top of the guns.... I'm actually picking up a load at Extravaganza next weekend for a shoot up in Mass... this will be my 2nd buy with them and not too far of a ride from CT

Tell John at Fireworks Extravaganza I want him back on the website. He said I did not bring him enough new customers. I am curious how did you find him selling 1.3. I think I may do a video about that knot. It actually appears to be the same knot I show to tie the match to the port. If I am looking at this right, the first knot goes on the port and the same exact knot goes over the mortar. The one downside is you may need very long electric match.

I would be interested to see if it works well with HDPE pipe, most fiberglass tube has collar around the mouth of the pipe so it would be easy to do. HDPE does not provide that luxury, Maybe its only possible to do it with the glass pipes.

Do a video Dave :P, I will have a few fresh built HDPE 6" racks to try on soon, just waiting on plugs.
