Okay guys I was shooting some 1.3 cakes tonight and I liked this one. The reason I'm makeing a thread about it is while this was a great cake it wasn't much better than a 500g cake. The only difference I noticed is that it was louder and all 32 tubes where touching other than that there wasn't much different than a 500g cake.

This is another cake I shot I don't have a video of it but as you can see after I shot it the whole side looked like it fell apart. I'm new to 1.3g. Is it normal for a cake to do this?

as some have suggested, perhaps "baby B" cakes SHOULD be re-categorized as 1.4 or 1.4S .
i've seen plenty of 500 gr. cakes that were 'better' than the nano-cakes labeled as 1.3G .

We shot a show in Clinton CT Saturday and part of the cakes shot were actually no where near as good as some 1.4. We had a case of FK100's that came 4/1. They didnt really do much... went up maybe 50-75ft.. small little flower break and thats it

I've noticed that 4/1, 6/1ext aren't much better than 1.4 items. It seems that the only one's that are a lot better are thunder kings and 2/1 and 1/1 cakes. I mainly got my license to get thunder kings, salutes and some bigger shells for my show. One thing that rally didn't make much sense is a box of bulk 1.75 canister shells are a 1.3 item.

The point is that according to the CPSC for the 1.75" canister shells to be class c they MUST have a tube/tubes sold with them, otherwise they have to be sold as class b.

I can see why they would make law's like that.Just imagine if someone that doesn't understand how to use a shell got a bulk box and had no tubes. Hey your profile says you are in Leesburg I live over in Inverness. We should see about finding some people around our area for an open shoot.

After watching the video I see what you mean. They don't look any different than 1.4 items I've shot.
