As long as we are at it, Here ia a link to a table of distances for storage.

Keep in mind when using fireworks double the distance to the magazine on the property.

I used the same reasons for my magazine. I didn't want to drive a 100 miles to back to contingency storage. When getting a class 4 magazine you should be able to have it approved the same day they do the interview for your license 54. Make sure you tell them that you have the magazine ready when they come to do the interview. The ATF google earth my property all before they came out.
What would really be helpful is if Phil shows how his log books look. Each shell and each cake has to be entered on different lines and by vendor/manufacture. I am still working on my log sheets if I get a chance Ill try to send a copy to you so you can post it for everyone.

Can the log sheets be down loaded anywhere? You would think their site would have them.

I was told that most magazine owner make there own as we all have different buying habits. I like a lot of color shells and not that many cakes, someone else may have a broad buying habit. Just thought it would be nice to see different log samples.

One of the inspectors told Phil , he has seen it as simple as someone taping their purchase receipt on the wall and crossing off and dating items as they are removed to shoot. The itemization problems start when you open a case of 72 three inch shells and do not use them all. Then you need to itemize each one separately. I think the key things to document are someone can look at your ledger and read off what happened to each product used by date. I will try to cover some of this in future videos. A great video idea for me would be to make a purchase and video it from the distributor to the magazine and how to do it properly. Once the magazine gets set up, I may do that, Phil said he will give me a space to store some items.

Dave perhaps make a video of Purchase and also the process of return via Contingency storage just to show how the process works.
