Damn!! I hate seeing 1.3 sold on the streets to just anybody! Hopefully he wasn't doing so.

sadly he probably was,i always wondered how they come up with those estimates of weight i know each box has the gross weight on them so i figure they used that and just add it up but i wonder if they actually weigh each case and come up with an actual number.

I live in the Sac area and shoot professional shows; I know exactly where he got all of those too. Anyhow, they say the State Fire Marshall is "likely" going to destroy them. What they do not mention is that California, cannot afford to have them destroyed. There is no budget for it. So all of these fireworks the state has been confiscating the last few years are just sitting in shipping containers.

This state has some whacky laws.

Also, lets look at CA state law regarding this bust:

"Possessing 101 to 5,000 pounds of dangerous fireworks is a wobbler. A "wobbler" is a charge that prosecutors may file as either a misdemeanor or a felony, depending on the facts of the case, and your criminal history."

So they likely arrested him on felony charges.
