I'm shooting my show on the beach this 4th and I'm planning on putting all my cakes in trash bags so moisture don't kill them. Can I shoot right through these bags with no issues? What about them catching fire?

I'd open them up before igniting... Plastic can stretch and not allow the stuff to penetrate... I know many people use aluminum foil to do the same thing.

use 2 bags per cake to be safe .
and yeah , open them, right prior to the show.

I shoot right through them all the time. I never had an issue. Are you firing electrically?

I'm firing electrically. I should mention this is a 1.4 show. I'm not worried about the big bore cakes they will probably shoot through 1/4 inch plywood. But it's the small bore sprinkler and fan cakes I'm worried about. I bought cheap trash bags. Not like force flex bags or anything.

all of the items should fire right through the bags the first few shots may be low as they bust through the bags but thats all imo
