I was contacted by the city communication people in April about this 24 inch shell they are shooting in Jackson County Missouri. The story was they were building this shell on site and were going to somehow going to allow people to see it being built. Then the person I was communicating with told me boss told him he was not allowed to tell me more until the July 4th holiday was closer. Well they forgot all about me apparently. They were trying to build up this 24 inch shell as some big attention getting but then suddenly became secretive about it. Not sure what that was all about. I just remembered all of this when I saw this video release today.

I am not sure what to make of the 24 inch shell? Here is video of the entire display. I would have picked red or green stars, it looked like the shell was charcoal. Over all it looks like a great display. They should have accented the shell by shooting two 6 inch salute shells on either end of it. LOL

Nice looking shell. Pretty impressive but nothing like what the Japanese do

Or how about when they shot a 48" shell that weighed 925 pounds

Wow those Japanese shells are something else. I'd love to see something like that in person, I bet the video doesn't do it any justice. They never do anything like that in the states.

That would be something to see in person. Love watching those videos of the big shells.
