Need a little help with some rack designs for 4" shells and dimensions

What do you need help with? Tubes should be 24 inches long. I think the industry standard is 6 tubes per 4 inch rack. (Correct me if I'm wrong) so you rack I'd would need to be approximately 4.5 inches by 27 long by 24 tall.

I HAVE 4 INCH TUBES COMING I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE a couple 5 shot racks for 4 inch shells what size board would you use? and do I need to use osb

The racks i build are all 4' long. This is so you can put a 3" 4" 5" 6" all in the same pod if you wish.
For a 4" rack you need to use a 2x6 and rip about 3/4" off of it. Dont forget to use spacers in between the tubes.

also check with local laws.... Some require different spacing as well

OK great thanks for the info...so would you use 1by4 for the rails?? And the spacers what size would those be

I use 2x spacers on my racks with 6 pipes. and yes 1x will work just fine for rails but I prefer to rip down 3/4 rdx plywood.
also good advice like pyroliffic said...check for any local regulations on construction
