These officials only look at them doing the community a service getting rid of it like this. What a shame, I know there are plenty of pyro groups or companies in that state that can use that stuff.

We do a few destructions a year of an equal amount of product. Would never arrange them as these guys did. I bet they did this for effect, although they claim it was for bomb squad training. Its extremely unsafe and inefficient to destroy fireworks the way they stacked them.

We have a pretty intense show for about 20 minutes as opposed to 20 seconds. Most of the product we do is damaged or cpsc failed items which cannot be donated or otherwise used in a public show. Local residents do park along nearby roads and get a neat mid-day show a few times a year. We try to position what we can to provide somewhat of a display and although it breaks your heart to watch 700+ cases of fireworks get lit all at once, it is quite a site to behold.
