There is a distributor that has class b 1.75 shells close to me and I was curious if these would be better then the 60g consumer canister shells.

I wanna know the same thing. Dave has seen these in person. I think it was in his winery video. 2014

That's a good question. I have heard many people say they are just using consumer canister shells instead of buying 1.75 class b shells. They say they effects were better but I would like to hear the same answer as you guys do.

I really don't see the point of purchasing 1.75 unless it's a salute ( Lidu Blue Thunder ) to be honest. Stick with the 1.4 cans which are going to be better color wise.... some even better then 2.5"

I also think that the 1.3 1.75 ball shells may have a flash break which may cause them to be over the legal limit. I watched vids of these shells and they are damn impressive

No, those are Kylin shells. I was asking for the Lidu shell video. I have never seen the Lidu shells before.

I bought a bunch of these color 1.75" Lidu shells in about 2005-2006. They are all single effect peonies. Green, red, yellow, white, blue, multi if I remember. 12 to a box, 2 effects of each per box. The boxes were color labeled with little stickers that said UN0335. If they were flash broken it was not heavy flash. The colors were nice and deep and the break was full density but not huge by any means. If you are looking for big breaks and loud reports then skip these. If you want nice effects in single colors and QM leaders then pick em up. A good consumer can will blow these away on spread.

My experience with Lidu 1.3 1.75" in the past was that they were very lackluster. I would take a good 1.4 ball shell or definitely a 1.4 can any day over them. I personally am not a big fan of Lidu color shells below 3". Every manufacturer has its strong points and not so strong points. Color shells below 3" are not one of Lidu's strong points.

Again, just my opinion. My other opinion is...buy Demon Shells! lol

That was 2005-2006. I have realized that Lidu tends to gain experience each year with their product. They might be great now, who knows?

They're not, smaller lidu shells are only good for salutes, some 2 in color shells, in terms of peonies, hit pretty hard, otherwise, 1.75 and 2 in, you're probably better off getting 1.4. 2.5 in shells are good, I've seen better, 3 in and above is where the lidu shells imho do a pretty good job and hit pretty hard.

Okay, I tested my comment to check on how Lidu is progressing with their product.

I agree cans vs 1.75...at least the videos I have seen. 2.5" no way, at least the ones I have shot through Lidu. Just my opinion too :)
